A
century
of

vision
and
values
Woodring
College
of
Education
continues
the
legacy
of
excellence
begun
over a
century
ago
when
New
Whatcom
State
Normal
School
opened
to
provide
teachers
for
the
rural
areas
and
burgeoning
cities
of a
new
state.
Today,
the

Common

interwoven

for
the

we
impact.
Those
completing

educators
for a
diverse
society.
They
are
ready
to be
classroom

leaders
with a
firm
mastery
of

"Western
is
such a
great
place
to
teach.
The
Woodring
faculty
care
so
much
about
the
students,
and
about
each
other
as
well.
And I
love
the
close
collaboration
with
area
schools
that
is a
big
priority
for
everyone."
