Leadership Programs
Thinking about a leadership career? The
College also prepares elementary and
secondary school teachers to assume the leadership role of principal
or vice principal and offers a bachelor’s
degree in human services. The departmental sites listed below
offer more information on these programs.
Western
Washington University Admissions (Requirement)
All applicants to Woodring College of
Education teacher preparation programs must be formally admitted to
and currently enrolled at Western Washington University or must
apply to Western for the same quarter they apply to the Woodring
College of Education. For admission to Western Washington

Graduate School (Masters Students)
Graduate students
must apply to the WWU

Off-Campus Extension Students
Recognizing that some students must remain in
their present careers while seeking professional development, the
College offers selected courses online or at off-campus locations
such as
Bremerton, Everett, Oak Harbor and Seattle. For more information,

Scholarship Information
The College offers a variety of general teacher
education scholarship awards. Scholarships are available for teacher
education students through some academic departments as well. Visit Woodring's Scholarships

Financial Aid Information
Visit Western's Financial
Aid Office; or for educational financial aid and loan services, visit the Sallie Mae site, which includes calculators to
estimate the cost of college, savings goals, expected family contribution, monthly
budgets, and loan payments. For information regarding forgiveness
of some financial aid loans (e.g. Perkins Loan) for new teachers, visit
