Responsibilities for Newly Admitted Students

 

Welcome to Teacher Education! 

Congratulations on being accepted into the Teacher Education Program.  This guide will assist newly admitted students to meet their admission requirements on time.  Information is intended for students admitted for Spring 2008.

 

Steps to Complete:

1.  Acceptance Confirmation

Return your Acceptance Confirmation to Teacher Education Admissions in Miller Hall 206 by Thursday, February 28, 2008.

2.  Character and Fitness Questionnaire

Fill out the online Questionnaire at Teacher Certification.  Print, sign, and return it to Teacher Certification in Miller Hall 216 no later than Monday, March 17, 2008.

3.  Fingerprinting

Obtain information about Fingerprinting at Teacher Certification.  Choose your option and follow the instructions.  As proof of completion, you must submit your fingerprint receipt to Teacher Certification in Miller Hall 216 no later than Monday, March 17, 2008.

4.  Prevention of Sexual Harassment

This online unit will be available from Friday, March 7, 2008 through Friday, April 4, 2008 - Enrollment Instructions

5.  Orientation Day - Monday, March 31, 2008

New Student Orientation from 9-10 a.m. in Miller Hall 163

Blood-Borne Pathogens Training from 10:15-11:30 a.m. in Miller Hall 163

Departmental Orientations:   Elementary Education from 1-2:30 p.m. in Miller Hall 158

                                               Secondary Education from 1-2:30 p.m. in Miller Hall 163

                                               Special Education from 1-2:30 p.m. in Humanities 102
