The Woodring Initiative for Sustainability Education (W.I.S.E.) commits to education for sustainability, acknowledging the key concepts of intergenerational responsibility and interdependence through economic equity, environmental stewardship and social justice.
The mission of this committee is to promote education and best practices in sustainability for Woodring College of Education, Western Washington University, and the larger community through advocacy, collaboration, leadership and participation.
Membership
Members of the Sustainability Committee include representatives from Woodring faculty, staff and students from all departments and programs, the Education Librarian, and the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs, and interested administrators from the University.
