The M.Ed. in Continuing and College Education prepares you for a career to
teach, train and administer programs in community and
technical colleges, universities, continuing education, business and
industry, and non-profit organizations. You will learn:
- Leadership and management skills to administer
continuing education and college programs
- Current research on how adults learn and
implications for teaching and training
- Theories and strategies to design curriculum and
instruction
- Techniques for teaching and training
- Practical experiences in the field as a teacher,
trainer or administrator
- Instructional technology skills to become
competitive in a rapidly growing field of distance education
- An understanding of the arena
of higher education
- Research skills to prepare proposals for
collecting data, conducting needs assessments and evaluating programs
Evening courses allow you to continue your education
while working. Selected classes are offered through distance education.
