Community and Technical College Teaching

Welcome !

The Certificate in Community and Technical College Teaching (CTCT) prepares prospective and early-career college instructors to teach successfully in community and technical colleges.

We welcome individuals in all employable fields including academic, professional/technical, and developmental/basic areas. Through collaborative study and hands-on practice, you will become more proficient in teaching methods, instructional technology, assessment, course planning, and classroom management.

You will develop ways to meet the needs of diverse learners, and you will become familiar with the unique features of community/technical colleges, particularly in Washington.

The CTCT Certificate includes a supervised internship where you will teach a course at a community or technical college. This program prepares educators in six foundational areas related to college teaching.
