Applying to the Program

 

 

New applicants may apply to any of these program locations - Everett, Bremerton or Bellingham

IMPORTANT:  Before applying, please contact the Program Coordinator at the program location you plan on attending and request an Application Kit be sent to you.  Coordinators will assist you in meeting application requirements and deadlines. 

Application to Western Washington University - Transfer students must apply to WWU and the Human Services Program.  Current WWU students may apply directly to the Program (described below).  Talk with a Program Coordinator for details specific to your situation.  University application materials must be submitted to the WWU Admissions Office concurrently with application to the Human Services Program.

Application to Woodring College Human Services Program - After receiving an Application Kit, simply complete and submit the program application materials to the Human Services Program location you want to attend. 

  1. Completed Human Services Program Application.
  2. A three-page, double-spaced Essay as described in the Human Services Program Application.  Written essays are reviewed for both substance and composition/grammar.
  3. Professional Expectations Agreement.  See related Essential Functions requirements.
  4. Completed Criminal Conviction Disclosure form.
  5. Proof of Washington State Patrol Fingerprinting (receipt stapled to form in #4 above).  Click for instructions.
  6. Completed Computer Competency Verification and Computer Self Assessment Statement forms.

Consideration is given to all eligible candidates; however, admission to the Program is not guaranteed.  If the applicant does not meet minimum Human Services Program admission requirements, a petition may be filed with the Department.

Measles Policy -  Students born after January 1, 1957, must provide proof of measles (Rubella) immunization and/or documentation to the WWU Student Health Center.  Contact the Student Health Center at (360) 650-3400 for more information click here.
