Former Students Returning to WWU
Who is a returning student?
Generally, if you have previously applied to WWU, were accepted, enrolled in classes, but have not enrolled for a quarter or more, you are considered a returning student. Returning students generally must reapply to the program.
Former Western students planning to return after an absence of one or more quarters (excluding summer) that left Western in good academic standing and are pursuing a first degree, should try to reapply for readmission by the application priority deadline for readmission priority. Applications for returning students are accepted on a space available basis after priority deadlines up to a few weeks before classes begin.
Post baccalaureate applicants who earned their first degree at Western and are prepared for their proposed plan of studies and who reapply for readmission by the application priority deadline, are also granted readmission priority.
All returning students should include a personal statement explaining the reasons for leaving and returning to Western as well as an academic plan of study which outlines the courses to be taken. Speak to your program coordinator for details.
Applying to the University:
Former Students Returning (FSR) to WWU submit two applications at the same time:
- A university transfer student application is submitted to WWU Admissions Office, as shown below.
- A program application is submitted to the Human Services program, as shown below.
IMPORTANT -
