Welcome
Welcome to
the Western Washington
University Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Counseling. Established
in 1999, this stimulating and rewarding
program is fully accredited by CORE (The Council on Rehabilitation
Education).
Classes are
currently held at the program site in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, 20 miles north of
Seattle, and 75 miles south of the main campus of Western Washington
University, in Bellingham. The program offers a combination of
face-to-face and distance classes. NOTE: Beginning Summer 2008,
classes will be held on the campus of Everett Community College, about 40
miles north of Seattle.
Graduates of our program quickly find employment
in a variety of settings: Federal and state vocational
rehabilitation agencies (including Veteran's Administration vocational
rehabilitation programs), private not-for-profit rehabilitation
agencies, private for-profit rehabilitation, hospital-based rehabilitation programs, mental health
programs, correctional institutions, and other organizations serving
persons with disabilities.
