Teacher Salaries – Link to the Washington State Teacher Salary Scale
For those individuals who have earned a bachelor’s degree and are seeking certification, there are two options with different salary implications - the Master’s in Teaching (MIT) or post baccalaureate program. Admission and program requirements can be found on this website.
1) MIT: Those completing this program receive a Master’s degree combined with Washington State residency certification.
2) Post Baccalaureate: Those completing this program receive Washington State residency certification.
On the salary scale, you will note that MITs earn a higher starting salary than those with certification only. The starting salary for post bacs is dependent upon number of credits passed the bachelor’s degree, as noted on the Salary Scale.
