CCER offers workshop
Despite a thriving economy, people with disabilities make up the largest group of unemployed citizens in the United States. The Center for Continuing Education in Rehabilitation (CCER) at Woodring will look at the complex issues that surround employment of people with the most significant disabilities at Serving the Hard-To-Serve: How Can We Create Broader Options for Employment?, their third annual Emerging Issues Forum, to be held April 17-18 in the Seattle area. Learn more about the forum by contacting Laurie Ford at 425/774-4446.
Diversity Forums
Woodring's Diversity Committee sponsors a series of discussions on diversity issues in education. The monthly one-hour sessions, entitled "Brown Bag Lunch Forums," are held on the second Wednesday at noon in Miller Hall 210. Woodring's departments and program areas rotate as host of the forums, select a topic of interest to their specific discipline, and explore it informally with other Woodring faculty, staff, and students.
Adult and Higher Education and Elementary Education have already hosted forums this year. If you're interested in diversity issues, bring your lunch and join the Brown Bag Lunch Forum's celebration of diversity.
