Sandra Daffron  (Educational Leadership) with Continuing and College Education alumna Gail Goulet presented "Techniques for Training Police Officers and Other Professionals" at the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education Conference held in Norfolk, Va. from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2.

Patricia Fabiano (Educational Leadership) presented “Women in Student Affairs Panel of Listeners” and, with Susan Mancuso (Educational Leadership), “Feminist Principles in Student Affairs Practice” at the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators National Conference held in Las Vegas, Nev. from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3.

Kristen French (Elementary Education) with Ruth Harman of the University of Massachusetts presented “Multicultural Education Through Critical Performance Pedogogy: An embodied Teaching and Learning” at the National Association for Multicultural Education Conference held in Baltimore, Md. from Oct. 31 to Nov. 4.

Stan Goto (Educational Leadership) presented “Who's not here? Identifying Underserved Communities in Need of Basic Skills Instruction” with Connie Martin, Michael Furtado, Beth Robinson, and Gail Goulet as well as “Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: Examining Your Practice in an Age of Accountability” with Andrei Davis and Sam Cheung at the Western Region Research Conference on the Education of Adults held in Bellingham, Wash. from Oct. 12 to 14.

Angela Harwood (Secondary Education) with Secondary Education graduate student Jessica Nicholas and Center for Service-Learning Americorps volunteer Sara Radoff presented “Civic Problem-Solving: Results of a Mentoring Project with At-Risk Middle School Students” at the International Research on Service-Learning Conference held in Tampa, Fla. from Oct. 6 to 9.

Keith Hyatt (Special Education) with Kris Slentz (Special Education), John Filler of the University of Nevada and Yaoying Xu of Virginia Commonwealth University presented “Curriculum Based Assessment and Programming for Inclusive Preschool Programs” as well as “Least Restrictive Environment: Battling Misconceptions” at the Association for Persons with Severe Handicaps Conference held in Seattle, Wash. from Dec. 6 to 8.

Timothy Keiper (Secondary Education) and Kevin Richins presented “Best Practice in Elementary School Geography Digital Age: Technology Based K-12 Lesson Plans for Social Studies” at the College and University Faculty Assembly/National Council for the Social Studies held in San Diego, Calif. from Nov. 28 - Dec. 2.

John Korsmo  (Human Services) and Trula Nicholas (Human Services) presented “Dynamics of Difference: Unpacking the Power of Privilege” at the National Organization for Human Services Conference: Social Equilibrium held in Atlanta, Ga. from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3.

Suzanne Krogh (Elementary Education) presented “Promoting Social Justice in Bosnia - Herzegovina with Help from the Little Red Hen” at the National Association for the Education of Young Children Conference held in Chicago, Ill. from Nov. 7 to 10.

Lyubov Larouche (Teacher Education Outreach Programs) presented “Imaginative Education in Practice: Solutions from Optimistic and Pessimistic Perspectives” at the Imaginative Education: Provoking Excellence Across the Curriculum Conference held in Vancouver, BC from August 18 to 24.

Bruce Larson (Secondary Education) and Dianna Hess of the University of Wisconsin-Madison presented a “Deliberative Forum on the Free Speech Rights of K-12 Students and Teachers” at the Annual Meeting of the College and University Faculty Assembly held in San Diego, Calif. from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.
