Oct.–Nov. 1885 Bellingham and Tacoma, WA
Threats and mobs drove out entire Chinese population from cities. Raids and riots against Chinese in over 100 towns in the West and murders in Rock Springs, WY and Squak Valley [Issaquah],WA.

Sept. 4, 1907 Bellingham, WA
Riot drove 200 East Indians from the city.

Sept. 7, 1907 Vancouver, B.C.
Race riot against Asians in the Chinese and Japanese sections of the city.

Sept. 8, 1907 Aberdeen, WA
Fighting between East Indian and white workers at West’s Mill.

Sept. 13 & 16 Seattle, WA
Riots against East Indians on Alaska steamer and between East Indians and Swedes at saloon.

Oct. 31, 1907 Boring, OR
Gunmen made a nighttime attack on East Indians in bunkhouse. Bhiningwan Singh, died of gunshot wounds. Six men arrested for murder.

Nov. 2, 1907 Everett, WA
“Demonstration” intended “to scare the Hindus” drove out the East Indians one month after labor leaders warned them to leave the city.

Jan. 27, 1908 Marysville (Live Oak), CA
Seventy East Indians driven out by a mob. One man claimed that $1,950 was stolen from him by the mob.

March 21, 1910 St. John, OR
“Race riot” between white and East Indian laborers left two East Indians injured.

Sept. 2, 2007 Bellingham, WA
Bellingham Herald publishes apology for press role in 1907 riots. [see excerpt below]

Bellingham Mayor and Whatcom County Executive proclaim a day of healing and reconciliation.
