| The
Ershig Assistive Technology Resource Center (E-ATRC), currently located in Miller Hall 212, contains a collection of over three hundred Assistive Technology (AT) items, equipment and products, with a focus on technology supports for students with diverse learning needs in preschool through grade 12.
Assistive Technology (AT) is defined by federal law (IDEA '97 and ADA) as:
"any item, piece of equipment, or product...whether acquired commercially, something modified, or custom made...that is used to increase, maintain, and/or improve the functional capability of individuals with disabilities."
Assistive Technologies are now available and affordable to meet the diverse needs of a wide range of individuals in our society, not just those with severe disabilities.
For more information, browse the
E-ATRC Database to view our current inventory, or explore the additional links to the left. Please stop by the
E-ATRC (MH 212) for an orientation and learn more about this valuable resource.
