The Center for Family Supportive Schools and Communities is based on the conviction that synergistic connections among schools, families, and their communities enhance student success in school and life.

The Center is dedicated to systemic change at multiple levels, whereby the education of children and youth is seen as a collaborative process with shared responsibility. With a focus on education leadership, stakeholders representing teacher preparation programs, P-12 schools, families, and community partners will combine their expertise, resources, and attention to the issues involved in developing the necessary skills to engage and effectively partner with families and their communities in support of student learning.

Vision
Family Supportive Schools and Communities create an environment for learning that values the integral role of the family and community as both resources and essential participants in the educational process, and seek their involvement as partners in achieving academic success.
