Pre-Assessment
seminar
takes 10
to 15
two-hour
sessions,
depending
on
supplementary
activities
in your
school
district.
These
sessions
are held
approximately
every
other
week,
usually
beginning
in
October
and
ending
in the
spring
before
WASL
testing
occurs.
The
Pre-Assessment
seminar
is only
offered
once
during
an
academic
year

Candidates
entering
a
professional
certification
program
must
hold a
position
as a
contracted
teacher
in a
Washington
State
public
or
state-approved
private
school
and must
have
completed
provisional
status
employment
(generally
two
years),
OR
verify
support
from the
school
district
or
state-approved
private
school.
