Certificate
application

submitted
during or after the
Culminating
Seminar has
been
successfully
completed.
Professional
Certificate
requirements
include
completion
of the
professional
certification
program and
the state’s
issues of
abuse
requirement,
which most
Residency
teachers
completed
within their
teacher
preparation
program.
Application
Forms
Step One:

fields, and
print. Or,
print the
documents
and complete
them
manually.
Step Two:
Submit the
following
documents to
the Contact
listed
below.

current
original
Residency
teacher
certificate
Step Three:
Submit the
Teacher
Certificate
Fee Payment
Schedule
and a
$75 check to
the WWU
Cashier per
the
instructions.
Application
Process
Upon
verification
that
certificate
application
requirements
have been
met, a
180-day
Professional
Teacher
professional
education
permit will
be issued.
The
certificate
will be
generated by
the Office
of
Superintendent
of
Instruction
and sent to
WWU within
about two
months. We
will forward
the
certificate
on to you.
It will be
valid for a
period of
five years
considering
the state’s
uniform
certificate
expiration
date of June
30.
