It is Dark in the Ghetto

It is dark in the ghetto
Oh yes, it is dark
It is not a place you want to be
It is a bad place to be.
Guns go off
People get shot
They die, of course.
Most of them who go in will die.
But some will live
For a few years at least.
They shall not die for badness
But for goodness
I do wonder why they have to go there
To the ghetto
The dark ghetto.
