Holocaust Poetry

Holocaust

It is dark in the Ghetto.
It was as if there were
Monsters coming after me
Like a thousand lightening bolts shocking me to death.

As I wonder what is going to apeen and
Why I was here,
I wore the star of David to show my pride.

In this ghetto, I shall die
With no last words to say
Good-bye.

Good-bye to the ones I loved.
I hope to see beyond,
Where nothing can go wrong.

I will sing a song
To where I belong.
Up here in the sky,
Where nothing can go wrong.

Tony P.
6th grade

From the author: "I used a metaphor and reflection to get my point across."
