Holocaust
In
this Holocaust
Imagine one slice of bread
And a little cup of water
Big monsters chase you
Every day and night.
You have nightmares of ghosts and dragons every day and every night here.
You
hear gun noises every day and night here.
In this Holocaust, you don’t want to be there.
You don’t trust me.
You will walk miles and miles for a day.
You see people cry and cry.
Trust me.
You don’t want to be there.

From
the author: “I used a
literary device of repetition by saying trust me, because no one would trust
you in those days."
