Comments from Past WWU
Participants:

“Overall, it was totally worth
it.”
“What this helped prepare me for
is how my ESL students will feel. It’s a great experience in
understanding how to teach to students from different cultures and
different languages.”
“This experience helped me to
learn with my students, be flexible, and creative.”
“This experience helped me to
relate much more clearly with second language learners in my classroom.”
“I’d do it all over again if I
could.”
“The experience is amazing and
definitely worth the money. I had a hard time coming back home and have
a new appreciation for the world.”

“It was a great experience to
learn from Latin American students in a British school. I struggled, in
a good way, with two different cultures, three or four if you include my
own cultures. I really got a chance to focus in on and reflect on
multicultural issues!”
“Experiences are what you make of
them and I took full advantage and had a lot of motivation to learn as
much as I could!”
“If you are ready to travel, DO
IT! It is a GREAT opportunity…invaluable. I wouldn’t worry about how
schools back home will look upon this experience because you are
learning so much. You will have plenty of evidence to support your
learning and growth abroad.”
“The whole experience was great;
I’ll treasure it for the rest of my life.”
