Student Teaching Guidelines
The Woodring College of Education is committed
to their vision of developing candidates who are confident and
capable educators who:
-
Foster Community Relationships and a Culture of Learning
-
Advance Knowledge
-
Embrace Diversity
-
Promote Social Justice
To meet that goal, the Office of Field
Experiences believes candidates benefit from school based
experiences that reflect a variety of diverse settings. As such,
placements are made with the goal of diversifying candidate
experiences during their teacher education program.
As such,
students are prohibited from attempting to secure their
placement in any manner and may not contact teachers or district
personnel about student teaching or possibly student teaching.
OFE personnel will guide students through the placement and
communication process.
