This off-campus housing scholarship honors the memory of educator
Marilyn F. Nold.
The selected recipient will receive three quarters of rent free housing in a one
bedroom unit in the New England Apartments (2516-2536 Douglas Ave.) beginning
September 1, 2008.
This scholarship may be
renewable for three additional quarters if the recipient requests such
consideration to the scholarship committee by April 1, 2009. The committee will
review the request and make a decision on or before May 2, 2009.
The scholarship is
generously offered in cooperation with
Madrona Bay Real Estate Investments.
This scholarship is open
to students in teacher education who are beginning their Junior or Senior year of college at Western
Washington University. Applicants must be admitted to the Woodring College of
Education. Demonstrated financial need is a factor in considering the recipient
of this award.
