Woodring Scholarships
For Prospective Woodring Students
The application deadline for most Woodring scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year has passed.
Please watch this site beginning January 15, 2010 for scholarships available for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Please check with Western's scholarship and financial aid offices for other options.
Avis J. Stewart Scholarship
Applicants must be a sophomore or junior as of fall 2009 (from WWU or transferring into WWU) working toward a degree in education through Woodring College of Education. Recipient must be in good academic standing in accordance with Western Washington University guidelines.
DeYoung Scholarship
Open to anyone pursuing a career in education. Must have financial need. No other criteria.
Future Teachers of Color Promise Scholarship
Award: $1500, may be renewed with good standing
Woodring College of Education will award several Future Teachers of Color Promise Scholarships for the 2010-11 academic year to selected students of color whose career goal is to become a classroom teacher. Open to students who will have sophomore status fall quarter 2010 (from WWU or transferring into WWU).
Other scholarship and financial aid options may be available through the WWU Financial Aid office.
