Woodring Scholarships and Financial Aid
2007-08 Woodring Diversity Committee Scholarship

The Goal:  To support selected students in fields related to education and/or human services who have a commitment to working against systemic social injustices based on ethnicity, race, gender, age, disAbility, sexual orientation, language, socio-economic status, or religion. This goal will help the college reach its mission to attract and retain an increasingly diverse faculty, staff and student population while at the same time diversifying the knowledge, skills, and attitude bases of individual members of the college.

The Promise: Students who accept this award join Woodring in a “promise” agreement to maintain eligibility and complete one of Woodring’s programs.  In exchange, members of the Woodring Diversity Committee promise to provide a faculty mentor to facilitate connections with service opportunities, student support services, opportunities to meet the scholarship donors, and invitations to special events and activities.
