Endorsement
The TESOL endorsement program meets WA States requirements for an addition endorsement in ELL. The bilingual endorsement program meets WA States requirements for an additional endorsement in ELL and bilingual education. There is a great need for trained instructors in our school systems, and many teachers find that these endorsements expand their job opportunities. Teachers and future teachers can apply to add these endorsements if they have completed a primary endorsement in another field of study. If you have already taken courses towards either of these Washington State endorsements, you may be able to complete the requirements by taking individual courses through Western's TESOL Program. The TESOL Director is available to assist you in reviewing your endorsement coursework and after successful completion of the endorsement requirements can provide verification to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.
