• WWU Earth Day Celebraton! April 25, 2009 - reTHINK, reACT, reBUILD. This celebration is the culmination of a week of events for Earth Day, which starts Saturday, April 18. This event will include music, activities, dance, comedy, art, speakers and more. Musical performances will include Spoonshine, Sweet Beets, Petunia & the Vipers, and a special evening concert with ASP Pop Music.

• AASHE Sustainability Across the Curriculum Leadership Workshop June 11-12, 2009; San Diego State University AASHE's Sustainability Across the Curriculum Leadership workshops are for faculty leaders of all disciplines who wish to develop curriculum change programs around sustainability on their campuses. Through an intensive two days of presentations, exercises, discussions, reflection, and planning, participants will become familiar with the philosophy of change in higher education developed through the Ponderosa Project at Northern Arizona University and adapted at Emory in the Piedmont Project. 
• Saturday, January 17, 2009-The 11th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Conference -This year's conference will held at the Whatcom Community College in the Syre Center and will focus primarily on social, economic, and environmental justice and sustainability. The conference invokes King’s call for a “revolution of values” to shift from a “thing-oriented society to a person-oriented society."
• November 9 - 12, 2008 - Raleigh, North Carolina:  “Working Together for Sustainability – On Campus and Beyond,” 2nd biennial conference of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). In partnership with Sustainable North Carolina this conference is offering a special, two-day tradeshow: “Sustainable Solutions Expo: Green Solutions for Campuses, Businesses and Institutions.” October 5-14, 2008 - Barcelona: World Conservation Forum, International Union for Conservation of Nature

• June 12 -13, 2008 - San Diego State University, San Diego, CA: Sustainability Across the Curriculum Leadership Workshops, Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education.  AASHE is an association of colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada working to create a sustainable future
