Stewardship for Sustainability of Place: Purposing a School District K-12 to Celebrate Student Learning Using Sustaining Culture and Natural Heritage as the Theme
This presentation outlines a process whereby one district focused efforts to showcase student learning around a purpose that embraces stewardship of the student’s cultural and natural heritage. The goal for this district is to broaden this effort and showcase student work for five consecutive years until there is demonstration that students are meeting state learning goals while deepening their understanding about the principles of environmental sustainability.
