Preparing Historically Disadvantaged Students for Careers in the Emerging Green, Post-Carbon, Economy
The Moontown Foundation is a non-profit social venture committed to ending environmental, social, and economic injustice by removing existing barriers that prevent historically disadvantaged communities from successfully participating in the emerging green, post-carbon, economy.
The presentation will provide educators with learning strategies, tools, and examples from the Moontown model designed to lift people out of poverty and propel them along a pathway to social and economic prosperity through direct immersion opportunities in clean and renewable energy, healthy and sustainable living, transportation transformation, and sustainable leadership development.
