Miller Hall 210 Instructions


Equipment Available


Starting the Projector

  • Press the Display Power button on the MediaLink Controller Console
    (status light will blick rapidly)

Starting the Computer

  • Power on the computer
  • Power on the monitor
  • Login to the computer with your WWU username and password
  • (optional) checkout the wireless keyboard and mouse from the Dean’s Office
  • Press the button labeled Computer on the MediaLink Controller Console

Using the Mimio Digital Whiteboard

  • Start the computer
  • Double-click on the Mimio icon on the computer desktop
  • Press the button labeled Computer on the MediaLink Controller Console

Using the VCR to watch video tapes or TV

  • Power on the VCR
  • Insert a video tape or turn the VCR dial to the desired TV station
  • Press the button labeled VCR on the MediaLink Controller Console
  • Adjust the volume on the MediaLink Controller Console

Using the Document Camera

  • Power on the Document Camera
  • Lay your document facing you on the document camera bed
  • Press the button labeled Document Camera on the MediaLink Controller Console

Using the Document Camera with the Computer

  • Start the computer
  • Power on the Document Camera
  • Lay your document facing you on the document camera bed
  • Double-click on the Document Camera icon on the computer desktop
  • Press the button labeled Document Camera on the MediaLink Controller Console

Using a Laptop Computer

  • Mac Powerbook Users
  • Plug the video cable (located to the right of the cabinet) into your laptop computer
  • Plug the network cable (located to the right of the cabinet) into your laptop computer (if you need access to the network)
  • Start your computer
  • Set the screen resolution on your laptop to 1024x768 or lower
  • Press the button labeled Laptop on the MediaLink Controller Console

Shutting Down

  • Shut down the computer and power off the computer monitor
  • Power off all equipment (leave Mimio Whiteboard on, it will shut off automatically with the computer)
  • Press the Display Power button on the MediaLink Controller Console for a few seconds (status light will blink slowly for about 80 seconds and console lights will blink for a few minutes and then the console will turn off automatically)
