Candidates who successfully complete Secondary Education programs are recommended to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction for residency teacher certification in the state of Washington. The curriculum is a carefully sequenced professional, comprehensive program with a learning and field-focused experience.
Secondary Education faculty are student-centered and committed to providing accurate and up-to-date information and advice to current and prospective students. The route to certification may be more complex than for other university programs because candidates must meet requirements for:
- Academic (major endorsements) departments;
- Secondary Education, and
- Residency Certification
