    CEED Open House

    The CEED invites you to join us for our Open House!  We will officially recognize our name change from the Center for Educational Pluralism (CEP) to the Center for Education, Equity and Diversity (CEED).

    Please join us for this evening of food, community networking and discussion with groups that share our commitment to working towards social justice in a pluralistic, democratic society.

    Columbus on Trial (2 day event)

    Join us for an exploration of available CEED resources and a "Rethinking Columbus" slideshow.  Who was Christopher Columbus?  Should he be celebrated as a discoverer and hero, or is there much more to his story?  Let's begin to rethink our heroes and our holidays with this presentation about the myths and realities of Christopher Columbus.

    Dr. Kristen French's class will put Columbus on trial!  Watch or participate as Woodring students put Christopher Columbus on trial for his atrocities.

    The National Indian Education Association's 39th annual Convention's keynote speakers are Billy Frank, Jr., Coach Dale Brown, Sherman J. Alexie, Jr., and Dr. Cassandra Manuelito-Kerviet.

    14th Annual WSAME Fall 2008 Conference

    The keynote speaker for the Washington State Association for Multicultural Education's fall 2008 conference is Lena Williams, author of the New York Times' Notable Book of the Year: "Everyday Interactions that Anger, Annoy and Divide the Races”.
